Spring is getting closer here in greater Boston. That means two good things: baseball season and turning off our home’s heating system soon.
But before that happens, something may go wrong with your furnace or boiler. Keep an eye out for any of these problems. If any of them do come up, contact us right away for a service call before the problem gets worse and possibly creates a bigger, more expensive problem.
If your furnace or boiler does not turn on at all, do these troubleshoots before calling us. You may be able to get your heating system up and running without needing a service call.
If you get through to the end of the heating season without any problems, take advantage of the opportunity to take care of your furnace or boiler.
First, contact us to schedule its annual maintenance tune-up. This is the optimal time for heating system service, as our service technicians’ schedule is more flexible before the spring rush for air conditioning tune-ups ahead of summer. You also put yourself ahead of the game. You don’t have to worry about scheduling it for the fall or getting caught by an early cold snap.
Second, have Cubby Oil fill your heating oil tank with our B40 Bioheat® SuperPlus. You won’t have to set up a delivery in the fall, so you’ll be ready whenever cool weather comes. A full heating tank also protects it from corrosion caused by condensation buildup on the walls of the empty part of your heating tank. Condensation occurs more easily in warmer weather.
Third, enroll in a Cubby Oil service plan. The regular maintenance covered in the service plan helps keep your furnace or boiler running at its best possible efficiency. Also, if your heating system does break down, you get priority service and discounts on repairs.
