This year has brought a lot of changes to our lives here in greater Boston.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us have had to adjust how we live our lives in the most basic ways:

When we schedule your automatic delivery, we base it not only on current weather conditions, but we calculate timing of our deliveries by factoring in your prior heating oil usage as well. If your heating oil usage increases, we need to factor that into when we schedule a delivery to your home. And if we don’t know about that change, that affects our projections.
You’d be surprised what a difference even just one of those changes in your household can make in terms of your heating oil usage.
If you worked outside your home before the pandemic, you most likely turned down the heat or programmed your thermostat to do so for the hours you’d be away from home. It’s a smart way to use less energy and save money.
But when you’re working at home, you’ll want the home warm instead of at its usual lower daytime temperature. That means you will be using more heating oil during the daytime hours where you hadn’t prior.
