Clean-burning Bioheat® and Dependable Bioheat Delivery

Cubby Offers the Fuel of the Future: Environmentally Friendly Biodiesel Heating Oil

We remain firmly committed to green energy solutions that not only enhance comfort and convenience for our customers, but also save money over the long-term while protecting the environment. That’s why we deliver B20 Bioheat.

What is Bioheat?

Cubby’s B20 Bioheat is a high-performance heating fuel that is better than regular heating oil. This fuel, made from 20% renewable biofuels combined with premium heating oil, supports super-efficient equipment—good news for anyone who is ready to upgrade to modern oil heating equipment. At best, most other companies use only a 2% or 3% blend of biodiesel heating oil.

When combined with ultra-low-sulfur heating oil, our B20 Bioheat burns extremely clean, with few emissions. You also benefit from better heating efficiency and easier maintenance, since ultra-low-sulfur B20 Bioheat leaves fewer deposits on heat exchangers.

According to a comprehensive report conducted by Brookhaven National Laboratory and presented to Congress in 2015 by the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA), biofuel blends containing 20% or more Bioheat produce lower greenhouse gas emissions than natural gas! Compare heating oil to natural gas.

The report states: “Bioheat heating oil is a clean, responsible alternative to natural gas and performs admirably against all other heating fuels.”

5 Bioheat Benefits

  1. Reduces U.S. reliance on imported oil; by replacing millions of gallons of petroleum-based heating oil, American homes will be far less vulnerable to any supply disruptions from overseas unrest or geopolitics.
  2. Supports tens of thousands of U.S. jobs and generates income of more than $1.5 billion that gets circulated throughout the American economy
  3. Relies on renewable, biodegradable, nontoxic resources; our country can continually produce new supplies throughout the nation, and it is virtually free of sulfur and other impurities.
  4. Saves wear and tear on equipment and it’s kind to the environment. Because it has a much lower sulfur content, Bioheat fuel burns cleaner than standard No. 2 heating oil. The result is fewer breakdowns, longer equipment life, better fuel efficiency and a cleaner environment.
  5. Requires no equipment refits—if your heating system uses regular fuel oil, it can use Bioheat fuel right now!

The next time someone says oil is oil; please ask them to call us. Oil quality can vary from dealer to dealer, but Cubby delivers only ultra-low-sulfur B20 Bioheat to our customers.
